It was a true blessing that this past week was a short week at work. It was so nice to go to work on Wednesday and know that it wasn’t Monday. On Wednesday night a pug followed me home then on Thursday evening; Christopher sent me a picture of our new puppy!!! Her name is Ruby and she is truly a bundle of love and joy! He came home on Friday night, I got to meet her for the 1st time, and I swear it was ❤ LOVE at 1st sight. He wanted to name her “Rainbow Fury”, but was open to suggestions. At first I thought it would be cute to name her “Poppy,” but as soon as I met her; I new Ruby was just right!!!
I took the weekend off from working out. It wasn’t exactly planned, but I think it was good. It gave me time to bond with Ruby and clean up around the house. I have been so busy that my household chose have begun to slide a little so I am really work hard to establish a routine and add cleanliness to my lifestyle. I am going to make it a point to raise my standard of living.
I was very emotional this weekend. Since Christopher and I are apart during the week I think that sometimes I bombard him with my thoughts, feelings, and sometimes my insecurities. He is very understanding, but I also know that he has so much on his plate and his mind is constantly racing because he is juggling many projects and having to divide his limited time, plus he makes that long drive to see me over the weekend.
I must admit that I have been like a waterfall of emotions by the time the weekend comes and now that I think about it, I realize that it is unfair for me to dump all those emotions and fears on Christopher when he comes home for the weekend. I want the weekends to be his chance to relax, be himself, and not have to worry about things. I know that he wants to be there for me, but I want to learn how to be strong and to keep moving forward even through those times when I feel sad or insecure. I have always struggled with confidence and I want to work on that. I can tell that I am on the right track just have to keep on moving forward.
This past week I think I did a good job of prepping my lunch the night before. It cut down tremendously on my prep time the following morning! Starting tomorrow I am going to have to get an even earlier start because I will feed the cats and Ruby and take how outside. I am in the process of crate training her at night. It is hard because I love having her with me all the time, but I think it is a good idea to get her used to it so that she is comfortable. I am looking forward to getting to know this little puppy even better. She is so sweet and smart.

Move Your Body! -I am still on a great track with my workouts! Motivation has been a little challenging to come by this week, but I am NOT giving up!

Create Healthier Habits. -the time is NOW!!!
I can’t say that I have hit a plateau with my workouts, but I can tell that my motivation level has started dwindling a little. I love the results that I get when I work out consistently so I am just going to keep reminding myself of that when I feel unmotivated.
What keeps you motivated to continue working out?!?! Do you have a mentor or role-models? Comment below to share your ideas. I would love to hear about them.
So this week, I am going to focus on more sleep, puppy-training, cleanliness, healing, and handling my emotions. I think I am going to start reading a book to give me some ideas.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I will see you tomorrow!
Love, Joy, and Blessings Always,
