I went into my new gym and rocked it at Mixxedfit! I even decided to sign up for “towel service.” The thought of not having to lug around my own towel and add it to my laundry pile, excites me! (It is pretty late so this post will be brief.)
Workout of the Day: Mixxedfit and Leg Day!!!
I walked into that Mixxedfit class and sure enough the lights were out. I was greeted warmly by the instructor and felt right at home. I had a blast especially since we have a lot of new choreography. Mixxedfit was the perfect warm-up for my workout.
- 12 Barbell Squats
- 12 Deadlifts with a calf raise
- 10 Barbell Lunges
- 10 Kettlebell one-legged deadlifts
- 20,30,40 Calf Raises
*Repeat this circuit 3 times!!!*
I took some time to stretch in the “dark room” then sat in the steamroom for 5 minutes. I figured that was a decent starting point and I can continually lengthen out the duration.

There ya go! I know that this workout and word of the day was pretty brief, but stay tuned. It is better to do a little than none at all, right?!?! There is more to come!
